How it works
The difference is the number of whole calendar days from the earlier date to the later one:
days = later date − earlier date
Weeks are the days divided by 7, and business days count only Monday–Friday in the range. The years/months/days breakdown counts real calendar months, so it accounts for different month lengths and leap years. Tick "include the end day" to count both the start and end dates.
Worked example
From Jan 1, 2026 to Jun 25, 2026:
- Total days = 175 days (25 weeks)
- Breakdown = 5 months, 24 days
Typical uses: a 90-day visa or return window starting Mar 15, 2026 runs out on Jun 13, 2026; a contract signed Feb 1 with a 30-business-day delivery clause lands on Mar 13 (weekends skipped); and counting inclusive days matters for billing — a stay from the 1st through the 7th is 7 billable nights only if the end day is included.
